Visual kei is constructed around verticality and mass — a structured shoulder, a defined waist, a raised sole, everything engineered to make a body read taller and more architectural than it is. A tee cannot do that; it hangs. A heavyweight hood can. The fabric holds a line at the shoulder, the hood adds volume above it, and the whole thing gives you a shape rather than a surface. It is the closest a print garment comes to the construction logic the artwork is about.

The subject and the garment agree, too. Cathedral architecture was drama achieved through engineering — pointed arches and buttresses existed to carry load, and the beauty was a consequence. A hoodie built at this weight works the same way: the structure is doing something, and the look follows from it.

It comes in white and black. White is the brightest and the most graphic, closest to how the artwork looks printed flat. Black is the deeper reading, where the lighter elements of the design appear to emerge from the base rather than sit on top of it. Two bases, two very different pieces.

Constructed in brushed fleece, 300 to 380 gsm, with a lined hood, ribbed cuffs and hem and a kangaroo pocket. On a black garment the weight earns its place twice over: it holds the shoulder line, and dense fibre keeps a dark dye from washing out to grey after a season, which is the fastest way a gothic piece stops looking gothic.

The cut is oversized from the pattern stage. Take your usual size for the intended drop, or size down for a closer fit. Black trousers below and a belt at the waist — volume without a cinch reads shapeless rather than deliberate, which is the single most common mistake in a gothic coord.
