Creams, pale pinks and soft browns are difficult colours. On a white garment they sit close to the base and lose definition; the whole panel goes flat and the figure disappears into the fabric. On black they behave completely differently — every warm tone reads as illuminated rather than printed, and the dot field turns into something closer to a light source than a texture. This is a design that gains more from a dark base than almost anything else in the catalogue.

Scale helps as well. A halftone dot field needs distance between its dots to work, and a larger panel means larger dots for the same visual effect. Coarse dots survive a textured fleece surface; fine ones bleed into each other and turn the field into flat grey.

It comes in black only, for the reason above. This is not a limitation imposed by the range — it is the base the artwork was drawn against, and the one where the warm tones separate properly from one another.

Stitched in brushed fleece, 300 to 380 gsm, with a lined hood, ribbed cuffs and hem and a kangaroo pocket. The lined hood keeps its own volume rather than falling flat against the back, which leaves the top edge of the panel the space it was drawn with.

Take your usual size for the intended drop, or size down for a closer fit. A pleated skirt below, and hair clips in even numbers on both sides — the hair is the anchor of a decora coord and the one zone that stays symmetrical while everything else accumulates freely.
