Alive Chrome Hoodie

An alive hoodie where every line has to survive the fold
A woman's face drawn entirely in white line, hair in separate strands, ALIVE above in wide capitals with a wireframe globe behind. The alive hoodie is the hardest kind of artwork to put on a garment that moves, and it is worth explaining why it works here.
Line drawing has no tolerance. A gradient can absorb a crease — the tone shifts slightly and nobody notices. A single-weight outline cannot: if the fabric pulls, the line thickens visibly at that exact point, and the eye reads it as a printing error rather than as fabric behaviour. The only defence is a base dense enough not to stretch under its own weight, which is what a heavyweight fleece provides and a light knit does not.
The wireframe globe is the element most at risk. Straight lines converging toward a curve are the first thing a distorted surface betrays, far more than any organic shape. It sits high on the panel where the fabric stays flattest, which is a compositional decision rather than a coincidence.
It comes in black only. A white-line portrait needs the darkness: on a pale base the line stops reading as light and becomes ink, and the whole drawing flattens into something closer to a photocopy.
Realised in brushed fleece, 300 to 380 gsm, with a lined hood, ribbed cuffs and hem and a kangaroo pocket. Wash it cold and inside out — heat pulls a knit permanently out of true, and on line work that distortion never goes away.
Take your usual size for the intended drop, or size down for a closer fit. Wide trousers below and hoops at the ears — though note this is a Y2K graphic on an oversized cut, which is a deliberate mismatch rather than a period-accurate silhouette.
The kangaroo pocket sits below the print, so nothing in the drawing is interrupted by a seam.
