Cold synthetic colours behave differently from warm pastels when the garment is layered. Violet and cyan hold their identity under a semi-transparent shell or a mesh top, where soft pinks tend to disappear into whatever is over them. Wash it cold and inside out. Cyan and violet are among the least stable dyes in textile printing and the first to shift under heat, which is the fastest way a screen-lit palette turns into a dull one.
